Every year, MainPower looks at ways we can support North Canterbury Communities - just like they support us!

We do this through sponsorships and community fund initiatives. Find out more below about our sponsorship with Southbrook Touch.

MainPower has embarked on a multi-year sponsorship with Southbrook Touch Referees. The funds are helping to provide new uniforms, update equipment, and facilitate courses and tournaments.

Since MainPower began sponsoring the Southbrook Touch, they have seen a huge increase in their ability to support and grow referees within the club. With increasing numbers of youth players signing up for their Touch Canterbury courses, Southbrook Touch is looking forward to seeing what the next two years of the sponsorship can bring - as are we!

Our sponsorships wouldn't be possible without the hard work of every employee at MainPower, doing their part, representing MainPower when they are out working in our communities and being a friendly face that our customers can rely on.

If you know of a school project or charitable organisation within North Canterbury that you want to be considered for support, The MainPower Community Fund is a contestable fund available to community groups, cultural organisations or schools operating in or serving the North Canterbury region. In each funding round, there is a share of $30,000 available to be split between the successful applicants, with $20,000 be allocated for community organisations and $10,000 being allocated to North Canterbury schools.
