We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Fitter/Electrician to join our Field Services team. The role involves the following:

  • Construction and installation of distribution substations, switchgear, kiosks and link boxes.

  • Inspection, repair and maintenance of both pole and ground mounted electrical equipment (e.g., switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers).

  • Some manual civil work is also required as part of this role. 

 

Applicants must hold a current NZ Electrical Registration, and a current EWRB practicing licence.  Proven electrical fitter experience within the electricity supply industry is essential.  You will also have:

  • an absolute commitment to workplace and public safety

  • a strong customer service focus

  • ability to work to written instructions and complete as-built electrical plans

  • self-motivation and initiative

  • excellent communication skills

  • a positive, constructive attitude

  • minimum class 2 drivers’ licence
