The Thongcaster Road Solar Farm is now in its final phase and already delivering for our network.
With construction complete, the site has moved into commissioning. The solar farm was livened last week, with first power exported on Monday.
On Tuesday, the milestone was marked with a ‘roof’ shout led by Duncan Thomason, bringing together teams from MainPower, AECOM, Lightyears Solar and project partners. A site visit followed, led by Sam Rowsell (Lightyears), with final works inspected on site.
The project remains on track for completion in July and has benefited from strong engagement with neighbouring landowners throughout.
