Introducing Energy Explorers – a fun and educational activity book for kids!

We are delighted to announce the launch of MainPower’s newest resource, Energy Explorers! This vibrant and engaging activity book is designed to teach children about energy in a fun and interactive way.

Energy Explorers is an activity book created by MainPower to help kids learn about electricity. It is packed with fun puzzles, engaging activities, and colourful illustrations that make learning about energy exciting and fun.

From understanding how electricity is generated to discovering simple ways to conserve and stay safe around energy at home, Energy Explorers covers it all in a kid-friendly format.

Through Energy Explorers, we hope to inspire children to think about energy use and discover the role they can play in creating a more sustainable future.

Energy Explorers also aligns with our MPowered Future strategy to have an engaged community and create a sustainable future.

Energy Explorers will soon be rolled out to some schools across our region! Helping the kids of North Canterbury to be energy-wise and safe around electricity, one puzzle at a time.

We have crews on the ground again today replacing poles and restoring power across the network.

We still have a number of outages across the network but we’re making good progress assessing damage and restoring power as quickly and safely as possible.

Estimated restoration times are being uploaded to the Outage Map once areas have been assessed and we have a good indication of how long it will take to restore power.

If you have any concerns or questions, please call our customer service team on 0800 30 90 80.

TREAT ALL POWER LINES AS LIVE AT ALL TIMES. Please stay away from any downed lines and report any sighting to us on 0800 30 90 80.

Medically dependent customers should ensure their power retailer has their most current information, have spoken to their medical professional and are prepared to relocate if needed. If you have any concerns about your safety or welfare, call your local council and they will assist 24/7.

For the most recent updates on outrages, please check our outage map. To report an outage, call 0800 30 90 80.
