2010 Youth Sports Scholarship Recipients

The major scholarship of $5,000 went to Natasha Lloyd, 100metre and 200metre breaststroke record holder who swims for the Kaiapoi Aquatics Club. 

Natasha is a New Zealand champion breaststroker, competing in the 100m and 200m distances. 

She has broken 12 New Zealand age group records and 27 Canterbury records.

Runner-up scholarships of $2,000 each were awarded to Eve McFarlane and Beatrix Heaphy-Hall. 

Eve and Beatrix competed in the New Zealand Junior Rowing team at the Junior World Championships where they won gold in the Women’s Coxless Four.
