MainPower supports free Energy Advice Service

Until the end of February 2012 MainPower is sponsoring free energy advice to Kaiapoi green zone residents.  MainPower is assisting Community Energy Action to undertake Home Energy Checks (valued at $250) through their Energy Advice Service.

Householders, both homeowners and tenants of all incomes, can get information on all home energy issues such as how best to keep warm at an affordable price, hot water use, condensation, and ensuring customers are on the best energy plan for their circumstances.   A Home Energy Check is a comprehensive energy check of a home tailored to its occupants’ needs and means, and is suitable for both homeowners and tenants.

Community Relations Manager for MainPower, Julie Battersby says “A Home Energy Check is an excellent start to developing a plan for energy saving opportunities in the future”.
