Electrical Engineering Scholarship


 

MainPower established this academic scholarship in 2003, to support undergraduate students pursuing courses in Electrical Power Engineering.

 

One scholarship is available annually at the University of Canterbury for students who live in the MainPower region and who are entering their second or third professional year of the BE (Hons.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents and have resided in the North Canterbury or Kaikoura region for at least one year prior to commencing university study. 

 

The value of the scholarship is $5,000 for a period of one year.

Applications should be submitted to the Scholarships Office at the University of Canterbury by 31 March each year.

 

The winner of the 2009 MainPower Electrical Engineering Scholarship is Matthew Bright.
