Environmental Sponsorships

MainPower is committed to the protection of the environment and the company monitors its environmental best practice objectives to ensure it aligns with MainPower's Code of Sustainable Practice. We demonstrate leadership and continual improvement in sustainability, and environmental management practices and performance both in the company and also within the community.

To support meaningful environmental projects and activities MainPower sponsors, in conjunction with Hurunui District Council the annual MainPower Hurunui Environmental Awards. $10,000 is given annually to projects in the Hurunui area judged as improving or benefiting the natural environment.
