Energy Efficient Light Bulbs

Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL) bulbs use about one-fifth of the energy that a standard incandescent light bulb will use.  While a little more expensive than incandescent bulbs, the CFL bulbs will last up to 10 times the life span of an incandescent bulb.  So not only are they less expensive to run, but they also last a lot longer.

MainPower subsidised two very successful CFL bulb promotions in North Canterbury during which all our households in the region were offered the opportunity to buy the bulbs at low cost.
