Energy Efficient Strategy

MainPower's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy outlines a range of programmes for the North Canterbury and Kaikoura region which seek to encourage customers to save electricity.  The focus is around reducing electricity peak load, making homes warmer, healthier and more comfortable, and assisting consumers minimize their electricity costs. 

The MainPower Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy aligns with local and national agencies to leverage funding support and best practice projects. The Strategy has a community focus; building community relationships to help consumers understand the role they can play in reducing energy consumption in the region.

MainPower's five-year energy efficiency programme will help reduce energy pressures, support Government's direction in energy efficiency, leverage government funding for the region and provide proven dollar savings for the MainPower Network and the community.
