MainPower is committed to supporting the community through a targeted sponsorship and scholarship programme. The key focus areas of sponsorship and scholarships are around community energy education, economic development for the region, environmental sustainability and youth.

MainPower Youth Sports Scholarships

MainPower supports youth sport in North Canterbury and Kaikoura by providing 3 Youth Sport Scholarships annually to young sports people who live within the regions.

Applications for the 2010 MainPower Youth Sports Scholarships are now closed.

Scholarship in Electrical Engineering

Through the University of Canterbury MainPower also provides an annual Electrical Engineering Scholarship at the University of Canterbury.
