Scholarships

MainPower is committed to supporting the community through a targeted sponsorship and scholarship programme. The key focus areas of sponsorship and scholarships are around community energy education, economic development for the region, environmental sustainability and youth.

MainPower annually supports the MainPower Youth Sports Scholarships by providing three scholarships for young sports people who reside within the North Canterbury and Kaikoura regions. Through the University of Canterbury MainPower also provides an annual Scholarship in Electrical Engineering at the University of Canterbury.
