MainPower's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy

The MainPower Energy Efficiency & Conservation Strategy outlines a range of electricity efficiency programmes for the North Canterbury and Kaikoura region.  The focus is around identifying opportunities to make electricity savings, reduce electricity peak load, make homes warmer and more comfortable and assist consumers minimize their electricity costs.  The MainPower Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy aligns with local and national agencies to leverage funding support and best practice projects. The Strategy has a community focus; building community relationships to help consumers understand the role they can play in reducing energy consumption in the region.

MainPower’s five year energy efficiency programme will help reduce energy pressures, support Government’s direction in energy efficiency, leverage Government funding for the region, and provide proven dollar savings for the MainPower Network and the community.
