Energy Efficiency and Conservation

MainPower promotes energy efficiency and conservation across the whole community to ensure careful management of electricity at peak times and help our community use electricity more efficiently.

MainPower has embarked on a number of energy efficiency projects to make homes warmer and more comfortable, reduce health complaints and assist consumers minimize their electricity costs.

Since 2004, MainPower has leveraged in excess of $477,000 (as at February 2008) of Central Government funding to support energy efficiency programmes in MainPower’s region.
