![]() | Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL) bulbs use about one fifth of the energy that a standard incandescent light bulb will use. While a little more expensive than incandescent bulbs, the CFL bulbs will last up to ten times the life span of an incandescent bulb. So not only are they less expensive to run but they also last a lot longer.
MainPower has run two CFL bulb promotions in conjunction with the Electricity Commission, but will not be running anymore except as part of the Warm Homes Makeover Project.
