Leithfield School is a year 1-8 school with a long 150 year history. The $5,000 donation will complete the school’s fundraising efforts for a new playground.
Rotherham School is a rural school with a roll of 45 year 1-6 students. The Community Fund donation will contribute towards the year 4-6 camp to Wainui.
Southbrook School has around 350 students from new entrant to year 8. The school is currently involved in a building project that will enhance and modernise their teaching spaces. The Community Fund donation will be put towards this project.
Waiau School are working on a project to bring in a permanent skate park as well as a bike track on their school grounds.
Miss Lilly's Angel Trust is a charitable organisation set up to empower kiwi communities to be connected and better respond to natural disasters. The fund will go towards the earthquake anniversary event they are hosting in cooperation with the Kaikoura District Council.
Waiau lost its school and community pool after the 2016 earthquakes. The community are rallying to raise funds to rebuild. The Community Fund donation is a welcome addition.
The school of around 300 students has just completed construction of a new classroom block. The Community Fund donation will go towards the landscaping around the new block.
Broomfield School is situation near Amberley and has a role of just over 100 students. The donation will be put towards various projects at the school.
