Network Assets Manager

At MainPower, we are committed to delivering real value to our customers and community and have a dedicated Network Assets team with a strong focus on life cycle asset management. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Asset Manager to join our Assets team.

Reporting to the Network Manager, the role will be responsible for ensuring best value delivery from our regulated and non-regulated assets over its life cycle. You will develop strategies and plans that support good management for maintaining, renewing and replacing assets to ensure they remain safe, reliable and compliant at all times. You will have a full understanding of asset management principles and processes and ensure that customer expectations are incorporated into our maintenance plans.     

This role will suit an individual who likes developing and implementing asset life cycle plans in the electricity industry, has great attention to detail, and is passionate about safety.  You will also need to be a decision maker who is skilled in condition based risk management.

 To achieve this we are looking for someone who has:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably Electrical Engineering
  • A strong understanding and knowledge of the electricity industry with proven experience in the infrastructure asset management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management acumen
  • An absolute commitment to workplace and public safety.
  • Experience in the application of electricity distribution lifecycle practices and engineering economic analysis.
  • Experience in the use of GIS and computerised asset management systems
  • A professional and results orientated approach with good business and customer focus.
  • The ability to work constructively in a team, demonstrating a willingness to share information and to coach and mentor others.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.

Network Services Representative

You will have a good understanding of electrical practices in the industry and take a primary role in assessing and determining customer requirements, along with supporting service delivery to the customer.

The ideal candidate will have relevant electrical industry experience, preferably in a distribution network and must have highly developed communication skills. You will be able to juggle multiple tasks, provide an outstanding customer experience, whilst ensuring adherence to MainPower policy.
