MainPower is working through a variety of exciting changes focused on new technologies and innovation which has identified the need for a Programme Manager to lead how projects are governed and managed across the business. Are you ready to step up to this exciting role?
Reporting to the Assets and Capital Works Manager, leading a small team of project managers and working across the business with stakeholders and internal customers; the Programme Manager takes overall accountability for the establishment and implementation of a high functioning and effective Project Management Office (PMO) and through this will provide leadership and governance across the organisation’s key projects.

This is not a Project Management role but will suit a professional with exceptional Project Management capability who is keen to take the step up to Programme Management within a PMO framework.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled Project Manager with experience across a range of commercially focused projects – ideally within civil construction, infrastructure or utilities. You will have worked within or led an effective PMO and you will know what is required to drive project and program excellence. A capable leader and communicator; you will inspire performance in others and confidently contribute to discussions with wide ranging impacts with your colleagues. A strong relationship manager with exceptional influencing skills; you will understand that success is closely linked to the strength of the relationships you have built.
